It was a pain in the ass, but the job is finished.

I had to nearly remove the entire dashboard, and drill holes through the firewall from the cabin. I'm glad I had the wrecked Z at the shop, I was able to use some bolts from its clutch pedal bracket, the pedal return spring, and two switches. The real hard part was properly routing the clutch hydraulic hardline along and down the firewall.

All in all, if I could go back in time, I would have bought a 5-speed S14 to begin with! Pictures to be posted tomorrow or so. Also accomplished, cabin and trunk dynamatting.

What's left:
72lb injectors
custom fuel rail (parts ordered)
JDM exhaust manifold modification (manifold ordered)
all piping after the turbo
blowoff valve
ECU and wiring (stressing big time about these)
LSD (parts on hand)
Z32 rear brakes and SS braided brake lines (parts on hand)
clutch & lightweight flywheel
aluminum driveshaft

so i'm guessing if you had bought a manual 240, you wouldn't have to do any of that? how straight forward would it be if you had the manual in the first place?

The USDM S14's clutch throwout is hydraulic, and SR20s tranny is hydraulic also. You will be able to use the stock clutch master cylinder and even the KA24's slave cylinder.

There was no clutch pedal nor the firewall bracket to attach it to on my automatic 240, so I had to start from scratch.

The DET is at my house, the car is at my shop, with the tranny sitting under the car waiting to be mounted. I'm uploading the pictures in a bit.

I left the metal brackets and dashboard support on. It looks to be a major headache to take apart and put back together.
