Maybe starting DET Into S-15

A friend of a friend that has a 1995? 240 is planning on starting his swap project. He got of hold of a black top SR20-DET with 6-spd. He also is planning on running a Haltech on it, I think he is doing stock turbo for now. I'm not real sure about the type of IC he plans on running , anyways word is he is starting Sat. so I'm going to help out. I'm also going to borrow a digital camera if I can and post some pics of the swap. Keep ya posted.

If he's running a haltech on it he might want to look at tossing the coilpacks and running them external with leads. Matt, aka the Hitman has a few SR20DET maps on his site which might give him some help getting the thing up and running, he's also mighty helpful over email. If he has any problems with the haltech install he might save a bit of hassle by contacting Haltech in sydney and asking to speak to jason.

First off, a '95 is an S14

The S15 was never made available to the US.

The S15 has the 6-speed.

The S13 and S14 5-speeds are stronger simply for the reason that the 6-speed uses the same tranny case therefore needing to utilize narrower gears in order for it to fit.
