Uhh under WOT conditions HOW in the hell can U get a upshift at 5200RPM ? If I shift at the redline I get back to 4200RPM from 2nd to 3rd. Nissan Variable valve timing makes the powerband more smooth. Its mechanical all it does is retards the timing for top end. Its not to make more power, just more linear. GA16DE makes smooth power from 0-6900RPM. With a intake U can hear the valve timing change as more pronounced noise is coming from the intake. Also U can feel it kicking in. NISSAN VTC system works on the same principle as Audis and Porsches system. Its not as advanced as NEO VVL or VTEC, MIVEC or VVTi
