(shrug) I dunno ... I can't remember a single time I've come off track with my hands shaking. But it has happened quite a few times when autocrossing.
For me, road
racing has usually been 2-3 laps of excitement followed by 10+ laps of boredom (and if you're open tracking, what's the excitement of "racing" against your own shadow?). I still prefer the competition aspect of autocross ... I love the challenge of just having to get
it done in three minutes or less.
