Re: what do you guys do for cooling?

I installed a CSF all-aluminum radiator in my ITS NX2000 to replace the Motorsports NX2000 radiator. My temps dropped from high-180s/low-190s down to consistent mid-170s during races. For the most part it bolted right in, but I had to slightly modify the upper tab mounts to account for the thicker radiator.

A caveat, one that I understand is also an issue with Koyo radiators: the upper and lower necks are smaller than the factory radiator hoses. According to the rep at Absolute Radiator (where I got it) it's there to be able to use the same radiator on cars other than the SR20DE-powered ones. They ship you some cheesy rubber adapters that you slip over the hose fittings to make them bigger.

Well, that's plain silly; why get a bigger radiator only to have the inlet and outlets reduced? For us it was unacceptable; we cut the fittings off the radiator and welded on the correct-sized hose fittings using stock aluminum tubing and a beading tool. I don't recall the proper size but I can look it up if anyone is interested (you can also measure yours).

As noted, it works fanatistic in keeping the car cool (and the driver too, since I don't have to run with the heater on full-blast...)
