I'm confused, thats an emulator in your link.

If you mean this burner moates sells:

http://www.moates.net/product_info.p...products_id=48

Then I strongly recommend it. However, it is really really limited by the different types of roms that it can burn (its not actually a real EPROM burner, it can only program 5V programmable chips). Thats not a problem if you buy the right types of rom chips. Its fast and works great right out of the box.

If you really need a real EPROM burner with a wide range of chips at low cost your only choice is a Willems style. They're cheap ($50 or less), but they are a pain in the ass. Don't ask me for help if you buy one, I hate them. My old one is collecting dust for a reason. If you know what your doing and have time to waste fiddling it will work just fine.

If your willing to spend a bit more money the Transtronics Pocket Programmer is nice. Its $150, good support for lots of different parts. Its been around forever and has good support of older chips and decent support of newer chips. I don't own one but my last job did, it worked great. Link:

In short, get the moates if your using the right chips, otherwise spend a bit more and get the Transtronics. And if you were looking at buying an emulator, thats a whole 'nother can of worms.
