Not to me. Cause if you take the door panel off, you still have to disconnect the mirrors 3 screws on the door, disconnect the electrical harness and then disassemble the mirror if you wanted to paint it.
Taking off the doorpanel is two jobs instead of one. And not everyone knows how to take a doorpanel off. This is mirror removal 101. I have been meaning to post this for months, but never had the time. Well, here it is.
This way, you can also have a mirror on the car while you drive and have the housing off while you paint and wait for it to dry. This way makes it easier to paint neatly.
The mirror clips back on the base w/o the cover on it.
