So heres something else Ive been thinking about.

Since the motherboard part numbers are identical (S13/B13), Nissan probably ordered several hundred thousand of these boards. Chances are that ALL of the traces are identical (ie...lead to the same place).

So in theory, to run an S13 engine using a B13 ECU would be a matter of changing the .bin file to the S13 .bin.

In my car, where everything is manual, no cruise control, no airbags, no power seat belts (I disabled them).....even if the SR20 Ecu has slightly different controls for misc. electrical stuff.....my car might still be able to run off of it (as long as its a KA bin).

This would help some people jump platforms, S13 to B13 or vis versa, and, take their DB'ed ecu with them. Seeing as how I have both a B13 ECU and and 3 S13 ECU's, Im going to try it.
