All, I apologize for the late reply. I have been assigned as the ACT representative for the SR20 forum and I'm now here to help to the best of my ability.
Let me start by answering a few of the questions in order as they were asked.
Discounts and rebates- As the manufacturer, we rely on our distributors to sell our product and we wish not to compete with them. We are here on this forum to help answer any questions pertaining to clutches in general and maybe even offer knowledge on any other topics I may personally have experience with. So currently we have no discounts or rebates.
topdawg781- “Maybe the issue of the blowing up clutches can be discussed now.”
We can discuss the topic of blowing up clutches. What was the exact issue?
Unijabnx2000- “some product r & d would be nice”
We have a dedicated R&D department and we constantly have new products in various stages of development. Are you looking for a specific offering?
Nussanluver- “quick question i was comming to a stop at a light and i pressed in the clutch pedel and tryed to pull it out of gear but couldnt i stalled the car tried to realese the pedel but it just stayed at the floor why would this happen my car is a 2002 sentra se-r spec v any input would be great thanx”
Have you checked your master and slave cylinders for any signs of leaking? If you have checked all the hydraulic components including the line as mentioned by unijabnx2000 and do not see any issues, you may have to inspect the clutch assembly itself for any issues.
Yes, a thick enough flywheel to use with the P12 6 speed transmission on the FWD SR20 engine (that doesnt need a hole cut in the trans housing) and a light pedal feel on a strong (225mm) Pressure plate with a street friendly disc capable of 450 ft lbs

This request is noted. Remeber though, we are a business and want to manufacture parts we can sell in high quantities. The more requests the better chance something may be made. With low volumes of requests, chances aren't so good. I will look into this but no promises.
Any FWD HD PP/Street disc specials going on right now? Coupon codes?

If you order through our website, enter code WRECKED2011 at checkout which will get you 10% off your order. If you check with some of our distributors local to you, you still may be able to get it for less than that. You can find a list of distributors on our website by clicking on the dealer link.

if you do direct business with us here. your company will have a lot more business then dealing with any regular store could ever do. I myself am on multiply Nissan forums, great deals are always made here, that is why we are a community of members, here to help. if you can work with us so we do not get screwed over by our local shops, we here are always willing to help back.
Your comments are noted and I will pass them along to the people in our company who woud make those decisions. Unfortunatly I am not the person who would be able to approve any incentives, discounts, deals, special pricing, etc.
Im still waiting for a reply to my email, about the constant failure of the clutch disc springs in your products. Can you find out why this happens so much with your products?
I apologize as I did not see your e-mail. Is this something recent? Can you send me any pictures or describe the failures in deteil that you are experiencing?
Unfortunately from the picture, the only thing I can tell is that the springs did come out of the window, but it's very hard to determine why. I can't see the stop pins and if the hub was bouncing off them. Another concern is the center of the hub collar and retainer plate. There is a plastic bushing which takes up this space and the spacing is even all the way around. In this picture the collar of the bushing is gone and the hub is closer to the retainer plate on one side. Bottom line is without physically inspecting it, I cannot determine the cause of the failure. If anyone has this sort of failure, they should contact our RGA department and send it in for a complete inspection.
In our early years, ACT used to manufacture discs using Exedy components. For almost a decade now though ACT has been manufacturing discs using our own components, so I do not know how a kit purchased 8 months ago would have an Exedy disc in it unless it is someones old stock that has been sitting on a shelf, in a backroom or in someones garage for almost 10 years. Any pictures of the components?
^I purchased my clutch kit brand new from ACT. Here is a pic of the actual disc from 2007 or 2008 from when I first purchased it. Maybe it was from back stock or something. Ran the disc for about 8 months and it dumped. I was just curious about the exedy part. I have a OEM B15 disc mated to my ACT pp, so all is good now.
For some reason I cannot open the post to see the images but no matter. I felt compelled to research this more. The 2000408 disc used in the B15 application is very small in diameter (190mm) and this size is used in a very limited amount of applications. I'm certain this was the last size we tooled up to in order to make it using 100% ACT components. So I retract my statement and both you and unijabnx2000 are correct. If you did purchase the disc in 07-08 chances are high that in fact this disc was still manufactured using the Exedy components at that time and depending on the inventory we had for these components, we may not have switched over to using the ACT components for a number of years as compared to some of our other disc sizes. I can assure you now that these discs are manufactured using 100% ACT components (Retainer plates, hubs, springs, etc.). I am only confirming this for the discs we have in our warehouse. Depending on how popular this application is, what their inventory turnaround is, etc., some Distrubutors may have old stock on there shelves which would still have the disc manufactured with Exedy components.
