brian crower stg. 2's & s/r install

I am going to install a set of brian crower stg. 2's and s/r kit. How long does it usually take (with all the proper tools) to replace the springs and retainers? I already have the the cams removed and was just wondering about how long it would take. I am doing this at school and will have 4-5 hrs. to work on it tomorrow. Thanks in advance and I'll post again tomorrow to report in on the install.

2 hours if you have a pro doin it. the car does need to cool down like 45 mins to an hour before the person installing it starts taking it apart..

Well I didn't install the springs and retainers(didn't have a spring compressor that would work), but I did get the cams in monday and got them broke in. I have been driving on them for 2 days and have about 200 miles on them. I have anly taken it up to 5000 rpm but the motor feels alot stronger. I am going to advance the timing to 17*-19* tomorrow and see what that does. I am very happy with the results of the cam install, and can't beat the price. Hopefully this summer I will get a safc-II and get some dyno numbers up.

You think a pic of a camshaft will make a difference for you? Honestly, I could put pics up of 10 different series cams and you would barely get 2 correct. If you read about the cams, which has been covered many times, I think you find they fall in between S3/S4 JWT cam.

I'm also interested in knowing about the idle. I know they say slight lope. I'm sure its liveable but I was just curious. I am hoping for some stage 3's down the road.

some people would like to confirm they recieve bc cams especially if sold used so him asking about pics is justifiable... hes paying for something.. if he recieves something else he has the right to have pics and compare to make sure he didnt get jipped.

ofcourse you cant measure the lobes on the cams by pics.. thats just fukin tarded.

Okay Brent....The question wasn't referring to you....and if you want to post 10 different series cams, that would be awesome.....

The idle is fine, I have my idle set at 700-750. The cams lobes are noticeably bigger on the bc cams. Tried advancing my timing today but no luck. Had it at operating temp. and disconnected the tps but the timing seemed to keep jumping around? I did get it up to about 6500-7000 and it pulls really strong.

This wasn't in the classified section, so there was no talk about sales or used cams or anything man. He just put in there a question and wanted pics!

I might have lost a little low end, but barely any. My car is now louder and rpm's seem to climb quite a bit quicker.

Here are sum pics from my install, enjoy...

Idle is a lil' lopey, Exhaust and Valvetrain sounds much louder. rpm's pick up much quicker. I also lost a lil' bit of low end. But love the power and Sound they make.

Whats the best advance timing for these BC stage 2 cams? I currently had it at 17* and changed to stock 15* degrees.

What do you guys recommend?
