I too have cam gears on my C2s which are similar to your BC 3s. I've tried +5 int -5 exh but I lost top end power and gained midrange. How is your idle, mine was really choppy and I had a lot of hesitation and stumbling below 2000rpm with my cam gears set to +5, -5. Eventually I set them to -4, +4 and all hesitation and stumble is gone, although the car is weaker down low and midrange. Top end seems to be fine.

Mine seems to be pretty nice all around. I am probably just keeping the gears where they are. I got my SAFC wiring that up tomorrow.

181.2 HP and 147.6 ft/lb tq when I did my SAFC, however I am getting alittle fed up with the ability of the dyno operators where I have been going. I am hoping to get in touch with fellow forum member nissasin to see if I can acquire some dyno and tune time at his shop (agile automotive) to use the Dynopack to tune my SAFC. I think it was done improperly at the place I was at last.
nope. The problem is their POS dynojet RPM lead keeps cutting in and out, so the dyno cuts off, the only way I got my peak HP and tq numbers was by viewing the dyno chart by speed, not RPM.
Dyno-Jet seems to have this problem quite a lot. I have used one to dyno cars that run with rev-limits between 6800 and 9800. The lower RPM cars seem to work fine. When you get to the higher RPM cars it seems that the ignition trigger lead is unreliable in half of the runs.
I guess that is what we get for using a Dyno that was basically designed around a Harley. (read their story)
Good luck finding a better dyno to run on. Keep posting as we all are reading your progress as it goes along.
What kind of dyno are you using? The shop I have been taking it to hooks me up with a good price for the time, but they have a old ass dyno with crappy equipment. What is there to not get about why they are having such a hard time???? It is simple. The lead that goes to the spark plug to sense RPM keeps cutting out for whatever reason. That is not hard to get.
I am hopefully going to be able to get a good price at agile automotive which is about 50 minutes away from me, and they use a dynopack dyno and much newer equipment.
^x2 i'd like to see the times on this beast. nice build! what made you choose the bc's instead of the jwt s4's? im still stuck at that pitchfork road...
I just wanted to bring up an old thread to let people know what you can do even without pistons on old tech. I was involed with the first # but, when Jay went out of biz we made a little more power and added a bottle. This car was nasty. tuning is a BIG factor.
