ok the guys at jim wolf tech couldnt help me out maybe someone here can? i have 2 questions...first i have a small white/red stripe wire on my lower harness for the alt. and starter...does anyone know where it goes?alt. power alt.ground the starter power the starter clip and the oil pressure clip are connected...2 question is the guy that was helping me hooked up the main power to the starter and the alt. power backwards i fixed that and replaced the alt. fuseable link which was blown...but for some reason my door ding and seat belt is acting looping b/c that happened...why?
i have a 240sx with a sr20det redtop, its in the title, and it will turn over but wont start! ive tested the power going to the injectors and the coil packs and there hot but it wont spark and when i take out the spark plug and shine a light in the head i dont see one trace of gas in it!
no it has fuel lines on right, the cas is perfect, the ecu is brand new,and the resistor chip is brand new, it is getting power to the plugs they just wont fire...and i put 1 of my coil packs on my budys car and they work just fine
1 - plugs might be bad (not likely that all 4 are bad though)
2- battery is too low, the starter is taking all the cranking power away from firing the plugs
3-something isnt right with the ignition system.
What do u mean by power to the plugs?? if you stick a screw driver inside the coil, will the voltage arch to something metal??
i just replaced the plugs...and i mean i can put a test light on the coil pack plugs and it lights up but the spark plug doesnt spark...i even used a different coil and some other spark plugs still nothing
i believe that my neutral safety switch is hooked up wrong or went out but i finally broke down and took it to a shop. but when it gets fixed ill post what was wrong!
