i have a set of b12 front brakes i know they bolt to the uprights of a b13 but is the master cyl. compatable????

To be honest if they bolt right up they should work fine for your little 10 mile stuff and 1/4 blasts. I wouldn't switch the MC unless you need to. It's kinda strange that you are going backwards in time but I assume you are trying to save weight right?
