C1 cams

Since I can't search for C1 cams I'll just ask. (C1 is under the 3 letter minimum for a word.)
Are these the non street cams? Just asking because there are 2 people selling them in the for sale forum.

If i were you chrissy, i would just go with some s4's. You buy em, throw em in, and ur good to go. Eventually you will want to get your ecu programmed, or buy one from jwt so you dont have any downtime. But its not necessary to use the cams.

I am using the C1 cams right now, you will need Spring valve and retainer $500, i don't know if anyone in NJ knows how to do the Spring Valve and retainer job without taking the headoff and it's gonna cost u alot to install them.

The idle is perfect on my car and i notice the mid range and high range power gain vs the S4 and the C1.

I would do it myself with a bit of help.:p
And I am not getting C1s. I was just wondering about them since it wouldn't let me search for them.

I also have and remember the one with the S3 and S4s in it. But I don't remember ever seeing a C series cam in there. I just never hear much about this cam.

oh, well. i guess it doesnt even matter since im goin ve. im not investing in anything for my de thats engine specific (cams). i figure for the price of a de (which i need since i blew one of my sr20s up in my nx) with pistons, cams, pulleys, i can buy an sr20ve which will make more power and have a nice, factory idle from the stock cams. just how i look at it though.

there was an scc that had the C cams were included and they made PEAK 45(i think whp) over the stock engine you can do a search in se-r.net to find the actual numbers

I think they are the best jwt cams and the best sr20de cams ever, but that is me. on the other hand, if you are a lowend to lower mid-range torque lover, these are not for you. they have more of the characteristics of a honda vtec engine's lack of lowend torque and serious highend. Just to tell you how serious these cams are, I was previously looking to buy valve train components(valve springs, retainers, and spring seat locators) for the C3's and called a few different companies. When I called JUN USA, I gave them the specs on the c3 cams and they said that the amount of lift on the cam (13.5mm) is way higher than any of the VTEC cams that they make. Keep in mind that JUN has over 200 whp all motor 1.6L B16A/B's.

Actually, the motor isn't fully broken in yet. When you bore the cylinder walls and add new pistons & rings, the car should be properly broken in. JWT told me that the proper breakin period before any beating on the motor is 3k miles, but since you have to change the oil after the 1st 500 miles anyway and i spent too much $, I just figured I will play it safe and wait til 3500 miles. I will keep everyone posted though. As soon as i hit 3500, i will be going to the dyno and to the track the following Friday!
The only thing that sucks is working all day and paying for my sleeper doesn't give me too much time to drive.
