Just got back from the dyno

Well was there ever any doubt who would own the NA SR20 side of the dyno at the Boston/Providence/SERCA/NENOC SE-R/Nissan meet?:p

Just put down 152.2 whp and 132.0 ft/lbs.

Mods are in the sig.

yeah, I think could have put down 155 but the car was pretty hot and it was only sitting for about 40 minutes after an hour drive to the dyno.

Damn ryan dont lie- you put 52hp and 32ft. lbs at the wheels!!! LOL,
if you get in touch with craig he might be able to get that extra 100 hp you were talking about with some tuning!!! LOL, jk!

Great numbers and if tuning could have went on it would have went higher!

have a good one!

Hey guys, that was my first time at a dyno, and I had a great time. I was happy with my 140.2 hp, with stock cams, a cracked gen 2 or 3 HS header, CAI, 2 1/2" exhaust, and UR 2 pulley set. After my first set of runs, I removed my cat because a friend needs it when he goes for his inspection later this month. After that, I did a couple of pulls with the test pipe, and gained absolutely nothing, not bad for an original cat with 106,000 miles.

Thanks for the ride in the Smurf Mark, all I can say is T28's rock!

Peter, your car looks incredible. Hope you find your horsepower.

Does anyone know how Art made out with his fuel issues? I hope he was able to make it out of there ok.

Chris

Yea the dyno was a good time
too bad the cash flow is too slow
i guess its better i'm spend my money on parts rather then dynoing a stock car
i hope art works out his fuel issues.
well i'm sure we'll all meet again.

Whoops, yeah I just changed it today when I realized how long it was compared to everyone elses. Mod's are

Hotshot CAI
Hotshot Gen 4 header
custom 2.5" catback
UR pulleys 2 set
JUN cams 264's with 10.5mm lift
JWT ECU

I think thats it.

Definately time to plunk down some money on bigger sticks, and a Rob Williams Intake manifold. I'd like to put down 175whp with stock compression and no headwork. After that, who knows.

Our mods are basically the same. How are those JUN cams compared to the S4's Our dyno numbers are very close.

I've driven a full bolt on car with s4's and the S4's seem to provide more mid range power. Yea yea, I know they are supposed to pull more up top than the the s3's. I feel these JUN's pull more on the top end. I'll post the chart later today and we can compare. You have a JDM 10:1 motor correct? That could be why you're putting out a few more ponies, coupled with the fact that andreas tuned your car.

If it's a JDM engine, it's only 9.5:1. The 10:1 engines that everybody busts nuts over was a Euro-spec engine, and incredibly rare. It is a high-port, though, so the flow characteristics are slightly different than a low-port engine would have. Maybe that explains it, maybe I slipped on a banana peel and bumped my head on the keyboard. Also, how much "tuning" was there? Aside from fuel pressure and base mechanical ignition advance, most of what a lot of people call tuning is merely "assembly."

Sweet man, next time I head to the dyno, I think I'm going to head there with Jay Hassinger and see if we can squeeze out some extra HP. Charts are going to be hosted later today and I'll put them up as soon as I get them.
