S13 alternator bracket (relo)

I just picked up a couple of these. I was wondering what needs to be modded in order to place the alternator behind the engine before I take a crack at it tomorrow.

Looks like I'm gonna go the "one pulley" route (elec water and no PS).

Thanks in advance,

Luis

Luis, I think you are mixing your mods here. If you move the alty to the rear and dont use the waterpump pulley wont the belt hit the timing pin? On the other hand you can leave the alt where it is and ust the elec pump to have only one belt. You can also move the alt to the back and use the stock water pump thus having only one belt.

Yeah I know what you mean Joel. I was thinking about moving the alt back to make room for intercooler plumbing and stuff. I'm gonna take a look at what I have tonight and see what I can do.

Thanks,

Luis

Maybe you could modify the bracket or have a new one made that moves the alt to the back but up or down to clear the pin.

Take a look at these engines by Toda, it may give you a better idea on the setup.
