it depends on what you're goals are. c2's-c3's are good for an all out all motor setup. if you want cams for turbo, s3's, s4's, c1's, tomei's, and hks should do the job.

do you think a hihgport sr20de(b13 se-r) with c3 cams,I/H/E, PnP, light f.wheel, racing clutch, stock bottom end and stock ECU will run low 14's??...thanks...
which is better c2 or c3?? do you have to get the JWT head kit e.g. springs and retainers to go for the c2 or c3??
how much do the c2 and c3 cams cost? how bout hte head upgrade kit(springs and rets.)??
All the cams cost the same S3,S4,C1,C2 and C3. If you get the C series cams the cost goes up because you have to at least buy valve springs. Retainers are also a great addition.
Springs between $250-$300 and retainers are about $300. The cost of the JWT setup is about $550 and JUNs setup is about $600. I charge $200 to instale valvesprings and retainers on a SE-R that price includes putting on the cams because they come off before you have to do the job.
If you set up your car right low 14s should be no problem with the mods you listed.

well that's regardless of the 93-97 octane pump gas we use here...and some timing. the c3 have the highest hp gain right?
so that's about $1K+ setup...
if this setup was in the altima(u13)...will it run low 14's with the timing and 97 octane?
the altima here came with the highport(91-94 right) DE with 9.5 comp.
For the price IMO it's smarter to go turbo. An economical kit at first is only slightly more money, but you have a huge amounts of possibility. My brother learned the hard way. He spent over 2500$ on his NA setup C2's springs&retainers/AEBS/Courtesy exhaust/Pulleys/CAI and he netted a 14.7 at 96. With that trap speed the car shows a chance at mid-low 14's. With a basic DET setup low 14's are possible and you can always upgrade. Without going to a costly Stroker kit then that set up is close to it's max. Plus waiting for the power band to hit at 6000RPMs sucks.
a guy in a llocal forum here in our country just asked if he would hit low 14's in this setup...i wouldn't do it either. especially on a heavy u13...hehe
Some people want all-motor. If you drag at the strip I would have to think that there is a hell of a lot more competition in the turbo class than the all motor class. Considering we all race at the track, right? And you have more than your basic bolt-ons. The last time I ran at the track I pulled 14.9 with cai, hotshot header, 2 1/4 exhaust and udpulleys with tired clutch and 185/60-14's. I figure cams, ecu, clutch, flywheel and some stickys and I will be in the 13's. Even with a turbo swap you WILL spend a LOT of money. I'll take more pride in a fast all-motor car.
All Motor is better for autocrossing and other forms of racing in some respects. I don't fear the turbo cars in my area with my car. 12sec DSM and Supercharged Honda's are not that tough in my area. Na is great on the autocross course. I can roll on the trottle at 5000rpm in first gear coming out of a slow corner and not cause massive wheelspin. It then pulls hard to 8K+ on the tach. Sure I only manged 14.6 at the quarter mile but I should hit low 14's high 13's with the right driving.
True. I guess it all depends on what you want to do. I prefer Lapping sessions and periodic drag runs. Personally I haven't had a turbo car and NA was getting boring to me.
