Hotshot. Hard to go wrong, really. There are rumors however that AEBS is coming out with a new design before long, though.

I had the first gen AEBS header and it has held up wonderfully and my brother is still running it on his NX. AEBS is putting out a new header now and it is to outperform the 5th gen hotshot and the original aebs header. I would look at that.

Please dont say headers in public.... ITS HEADER unless you got a v6 or v8. Just to let you know

The AEBS is a great power producer. I and a few others had issues with it cracking. I'm looking forward to seeing the new header when it becomes available.

I have a Stillen. I made 141.3 hp on a US motor with minimal mods. I would hardly say it sucks.

Was this on the '97? If so, what were the minor mods?

Do you have a before and after dyno of the stock manifold -vs- Stillen header?

I've seen where the Stillen header only increased HP by as little as 2-3 HP if not less with before and after dyno runs. That is why I ask.

Mods on the 97:

Timing
HS Cold Air
2 1/4 Crush bent Custom cat-back
old ceramic coated Stillen Header
91 cam.
130K Miles

That's it.

No before and after runs. I felt the biggest power increase with the header but i'ts been on the car since 98.

It depends on WHICH stillen one you have. IIRC the 4-2-1 (i have) made more power down low than the HS, but lost up top. IT was in the SCC dyno comparision. The HS only beat it by 2-3 WHP..i think.

Now, the 4-1 stillen header i heard was crap.

Hmmm..I'll have to look. I know it's like a 97 model and has a dent (factory) on the DP. I'll look today.

just look and see if its a 4-2-1. if it is, you have the bEST header stillen made. the 4-1 is crap. The "Dent" was there to fit the bigger sway bars on a classic, im not sure if affected the SX's...

I have the first generation AEBS header and so far i cant complain, it is a 4-2-1 racing header. But Hot Shot has a good quality header

Hot Shot does have a quality header, but their customer service is something to be desired. Ive been trying to get a replacement header for over 6 months now to replace one with a defective weld....if you do get a HS header, make sure you send in that warantee card.
