got the DE/VE running today. thanks to Big Tom for pointing out the distributor was unplugged (generally a good thing to have).
haven't plugged in the VVL yet (damn, all that time and money and no VVL?!) but i am not worried as i put in new rings, pistons, etc, so it needs to be broken in anyway.
idle was really high at first, but it seems to have calmed down.
the Gen VI does contact the crossmember a little, but not enough to bother me.
this damned thing is QUIET. unbolted at idle sounded about as loud as the DE did with the stock manifold and the exhaust hooked up. with the exhaust hooked up on the VE, i can hear all kinds of other shit like my speedo cable in need of some grease! :D
tomorrow i will set the TPS, idle and timing (guesstimated it for now, not getting on it anyway).
