sunnysupersaloon 12-12-2001, 02:43 PM OK....GUYS HERE'S A TRICK TO REPLACE UR TRANNY FOR A G20T
Y SWAP 4TH AND 5TH GEAR IS LONGER.EVERY THING IS THE SAME EXECPT THE SMALL AXEL YOU NEED A 2.0 MANUAL OUTPUT SHAFT (THE PIECE THAT GOES INTO THE SPINDLE)AND A G20T INPUT SHAFT(THE PIECE THAT GOES INTO THE TRANNY)THIS WILL DEFINTLY WORK I JUST FINISH THE AXEL TODAY....I'M GOING TO TEST IT TONIGHT..STAY TUNED FOR MOE INFO............
enjoyDride 12-12-2001, 04:16 PM Isn't the left side motor/tranny mount different. I swapped motor mounts for the JWT on my friends 99 G20 and the left side motor/tranny mount was way different than my classic's mount.

JawBreakingSE-R 12-12-2001, 04:17 PM would there be any problems with switching the gears since the G20 doesn't have a limited slip diff?

I do belive that the G20T does have the limited slip tranny. Correct me if I am wrong!:D
Monsoon 12-12-2001, 07:25 PM WHY ARE YOU TYPING IN CAPS? YOU CAN GET THE SAME POINT ACROSS BY typing like a human.
sunnysupersaloon 12-14-2001, 04:51 PM Dont like it don't read it that simple A**hole...........
...and G20 tranny is limited slip........3rd gear took me to aproxx...
98MPH......
KikoSanchez182 12-16-2001, 02:02 AM ahh, just gimme a 6-speed and ill be happy!!!! does ur guys' car seem stressed on the interstate, like goin 70 or 80??? i know mine does!
PDX S2000 12-17-2001, 10:34 AM I have gears from a Primera (mutilated 3rd gear, so I had to find gears to get shotpeened and cryo'd) but I must confess, I don't notice 3rd, 4th or 5th being any taller... I never looked at the speedo and tach to determine beforehand... but anyways.. it works, you *can* just swap the gears into your se-r case, with se-r outputshaft, diff, etc.
Low612 05-10-2002, 01:39 AM So any results on the g20T swap yet. Inquiring minds want to know.

93BlackBird 05-10-2002, 10:50 AM I actually have a g20t engine and tranny in my car. Yes the mount is differant, yes it is limited slip, axle doesn't seem to be a problem, but I have to diagnose this damn pull to the right when I accelearate. I think something maybe loose
Low612 05-11-2002, 03:43 AM So can anyone confirm the success of swapping a non lsd primera (non gt) gears into an ser tranny? Iam assuming that the non lsd
primera gears are the same as G20T with exception of a lsd? Or that the gears are taller in the primera....hm

sunnysupersaloon 05-16-2002, 06:12 PM i did the swap g20 non lsd (i did not know i was not, lsd)and i sucks the car got much slower from a 14.9 to a 15.7 was the best i did at the track but if you have a lsd off a g20(t) model i'm guessing if will hook a lot better than i did ....i had a lot of wheel hope/spin...
sunnysupersaloon 05-16-2002, 06:13 PM sorry correction i mean hop/spin....

Did your G20t tranny require a different axle or did u use the same regualr se-r one? Im planning on doing this when my g20T tranny arrives. Any info appreciated.
AztekSE-R 03-22-2003, 03:41 AM Id say you would use the same axles maybe one different or something

Now that wasnt very nice.....Josh
93BlackBird 03-22-2003, 02:06 PM funny I don't remember the axle being an issue, but I could be wrong. I will be able to tell you soon since I need to replace my axles. And I can get some of these trannies

cool thanks
93BlackBird 03-24-2003, 05:05 PM ok well I haven't done my axles yet, but its been bothering me so I did some reasearch since it slowed down towards the end of the day today
Both axles for both cars(P10) and (B13) have the same inner shaft spline counts
g20 has a 27 spline outer
SE-R has a 25 spline outer
Since the g20 tranny is going to the SE-R you don't need to swap inner splines as long as the diam. of the shaft is the same(which I will try to find out tomorrow)
Looks like the next mystery to solve(if its a mystery at all) is the axle length. I wish my memory was good, but it seriously sucks
Low612 03-25-2003, 03:40 AM It sounds like a regulr se-r axle can be used then with w g20t tranny. Maybe the frankenstein axle is only with the regular g20 tranny nonlsd
