not sure if phoenix is as good as it was in the old days i have a 2240 and it is 22 watt per channel but is any ohm stable. it was tested to run 15 12in woffer for 45 min before thermle shutdown. it is like 550w@ 1/2 ohm

I've had a 2220 and a 2240 for like 8 years, one running at 2ohms, and the subs at 1/2 ohm - it would do thermal shutdown if I really pushed the bass for a long time, but I had ZERO ventilation. If I opened up the little chamber it was in, it ran perfectly fine.

I know their older line is pretty bad ass, I used to have a zx350 running 3 JL 8w6's and it made tons of power, but not sure of the newer lines.

they are good... i liked the 5:08 or 5:80 amp that i had it was something like 80 watts rms x4 and it was good. but it was too long for my tastes. So i sold it.

I have a QX300.4 and it is great. I have had it for about 5 years. When I bought it, after about a month one of the ground wires fried on the inside  but apart from that, sounds amazing. I am running 6.5" coaxes and an Alpine type R 12" sub. No use going too fancy when the exhaust drowns out most of the sound anyways
