Ok everybody, I really need your help on this. I'm debating on whether getting a BB DET or making my DE turbo. What i want to achieve is about 220 whp at the most. If I were to get the BB DET i would probably run it at 8 psi. But, it would be cheaper for me to just turbo my DE but the thing that worries me is the mileage of the engine, 145k. If I were to turbo my DE i would want:

T28 with original manifold
370 cc injectors
Walbro fuel pump
JWT ECU
BB intercooler with the FMIC kit
3" exhaust from the turbo
HKS Bov

Is it worth it to turbo my DE or should I just get a DET?? Thanks in advance for all your help.

If I were in your shoes. I would get the BB DET, because there is more potential in the DET. You can get a BB DET for less than $1250. Plus, you could build up your DET while driving around with your DE. AND, you could keep your DE as a spare engine! Good luck with your decision!

If I was you I'd go for a DET. Actually as the matter of fact, I was in the same boat as you. I finally decided to get DET and its getting installed in 3 weeks. :) Anyways, I think you're better off dropping a DET than doing all that work on the DE. (not worth it in my opinion)
Good Luck,
Nick

id turbo the DE, my friend has a 91 se-r with 223k miles and its sparyin nos only a 50 shot but the car takes a beeting he owns it since new......... plus its alot cheaper and alot easier to just turbo your car trust me this as my 93 se-r was once owned by Mike Jez, maybe you know him hes my brother, it went through 2 DETs first one we bought from SOKO it was dead had a cracked block we didnt see untill we took all the stock wiring off of it, the 2nd one wound up with spun rod bearings in texas and sat there for oooooo i think 2 or 3 months at a friends house and had to be trucked back up to chicago, so my theory is you know the motor in your car cause you drive it everyday and if you go with a DET (which im not saying is bad) do a complete tear down of the motor, this is coming from the "JEZ" experience i now have the original motor in my SE-R with all the bolt-ons and ECU except cams and i was able, well not me but my brother i never tried, to hang with Ben Davisis turbo 98 sentra which ran 13.9 ( we sold him the turbo set up off the last DET we had), he can confirm this, sorry for the long post but im speaking from experience............ its really easy doing the swap the 2nd time around too :D

forgot to add one thing..... u can get a DET for 1250 but its propably a POS no offense guys but 1250 thats cheap but then all the fabrocation and ECU plus downpipe, damn i still have headaches j/k :D.......... u cant say u buy a DET for 1250 and thats all the money it takes plus the 600 bux for a ECU, but if u wanna go a lil further like me and my bro did we got NISMO 555cc injectors, Z32 MAF, TT Z fuel pump, ofcourse ECU then ur way over 3k bux
