i believe this motor started in the 2000 se. stock is 146 hp/ 136 tq, redline set at 6600 rpms.
1. what's your fastest 1/4 mile time
2. what mods have you performed so far.
in a few days i will be running a 2000 se motor in my 96 200sx se-r! i haven't heard of anyone else doing this yet....:keeping fingers crossed:..LOL!
anyways, thanks in advance,
bryan
the average time for most b15 sr20's is about 15.5-15.7.

Lee is right.
I did 15.8 bone stock and Im a fat bastard @ about 220lbs. (That was with the spare, coke cans, tool box and some other crap laying around in the trunk.
You'll probably see better results also cause the 200sx SE-R is lighter than the 2000+ Sentra SE.
1996 200sx SE-R 2491 lbs
2000 Sentra SE 2674 lbs
-----------------------------------
Im wondering though, did you blow your engine ? or is there another reason why your installing the 2000 SR20 in your 1996 car ? I fail to see the reason for a swap unless you had no choice...

you guessed it! motor quit, or more precisely the fuel pump couldn't supply enough fuel during a nitrous run, so cylinder #4 went bye-bye. no compression.
i worked with chris at sr20 development and decided this would be a good alternative to the 10:1 primera motor. i have lots of emission tests to pass in oregon. with this motor everything from my 96 bolts on without a fuss. the primera motor would have been a different story.
thanks for the replies, i was kind of thinking they were a bit quicker than the older ones.
