Go to the dealership and shell out $120 for the nissan bible(ie the factory service manual) :) :)

FSM is a Factory Service Manual and it is used by mechanics at the dealerships. It is a complete book in full detail of every mechanical, electrical and cosmetic aspect of your car.

New, they generally cost around $120-$250. You can sometimes get a great deal on eBay for around $50-$100 for a used one.

HAYNES is a do it yourselfer service manual. It is pretty good. Much better then Chilton's, but is not as good as an OEM Factory Service Manual. Nothing is as good as the FSM.

Trust me, its worth it. I got mine for 120 new. I'm sure if you're patient and check ebay you can get one for around 50 bucks.

I just bought one used for $50 bucks from John Cozine on the main list. :p If you put 4 haynes manuals together you might get close to the size of the FSM. I don't know how I worked on the car without it.

I got my fsm from my local dealership not two weeks ago for $98 so people really paid $200?!?!?

I called up Nissan Canada and tried to order one for a '95. They bounced me to the company who supplies the 2000-2001 fsm's. That company then bounced me to another company who supplies pre 2000 fsm's. I ordered it for $90 U.S. new. Call Nissan and try going through the same route.

I got mine from courtesy. $110 shipped about two years ago. It was my first mod as I used it to set the timing. The Haynes manual is ok for basic stuf though

I use the Haynes for when I get dirty with the car. A $10 book is easier to replace than a FSM.

That's what I got mine for too. It had been sitting on a shelf at the dealership for years, but it was still unused.
