1. I'm running my car with a Vortech FMU, bigger pump and stock injectors(259's?) Running 7 psi, the car is getting enough fuel like this. What I'm wondering is what my base timing should be set at. I went with the colder plugs and closed the gap up on them. I haven't gotten my boost retard box in yet though. I set my base timing at 11 degrees just to be safe. Could I go back up a little? It seems like it's capable of making more power, but it's holding back. My EGTs never get above 1100 degrees...even after a hard run. There's no detonation either... Someone was telling me that EGTs should get up to about 1300 for best performance. (this is coming right out of the turbo)

2. Also, how big should I open the exhaust up? I've still got stock exhaust..and I think that's holding me up too.

3. And...my Air/Fuel meter is acting up. It runs fine for the first 20 or so minutes. Then, it starts to fall off. It gets to the point that when I'm running, it barely comes on(in the red). I know I'm not running lean, cause I would have eaten a hole in a piston by now. Any clues/suggestions?

I'm getting my ECU and injectors next month...so I can get this done right. It works, it's just not as precise at it could be.

Could be a dead O2 sensor.

where did u mount your probe for the EGT? if u put it after the turbo the temps that show up are cooler than when it exits the head. just stick the probe in runner 1. That way you really know whats goin on.

how do I mount it in the runner? I've got the bluebird manifold. Do I drill and tap the cast manifold? What about the timing?

yup drill n tap. as for the timing I can rem what we had it set at in Pshhhhh's car maybe when he comes on and reads this he can give some input. just go one lower than what he says lol. j/k mike
