Alright i'll start off by saying, my starters been dead for about two months now. So I havn't driven the car except for twice when I push started it. The other day I push started it and it ran for a minute, then whenever I would go to a low rpm the lights would dim. The lower the rpm, the dimmer the lights, the higher the rpm, the brighter the lights. Then my radio would turn off, and the car would stall. I push started it again and the same thing happened. Then I push started it again and reved for a few minutes, same thing. I have a check engine light. but have for a while now due to a rear o2 sensor. The car is a 96 se-r. I've replaced many alternators before all in chevy,s though, and I know when one goes bad it can act wacky. So if you think you know what might be causing this please chime in. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

im guessing its the battery being dead since you didnt run the car much.. check the battery with a voltameter... then if u can get the car to run have someone rev it to like 2 grand and see what the voltameter reads.. if its anything lower than like 12.5 ur alternater is shot.. good luck and hope i helped
