Well, the boys and I decided to take the nice 2 hour trip to the nearest 1/4 track to us which is Moroso in West Palm Beach.
Before I post up my numbers... I took my b13 to the scale :eek2: Well, lets say I didn't expect my car to weigh what I thought it would weigh for a b13 with tar removed & JDM back bumper :squint: The fat pig weighed in @ approximately 2670 lbs  I still had my tools, jack, & spare tire in the car.
Anyways, I'm not happy with my times but I am happy with my traps :biggthump I only got 2 runs down the track tonight and this is maybe my 5th lifetime pass down the track

This is what 12 psi & regular cheap street tires netted me...

.............1st Pass................2nd Pass
R/T..........-.114.....................485
60'...........2.733.....................2.600
330..........6.604.....................6.673
1/8..........9.520.....................9.741
MPH.........87.54.....................84.45
1000'.......11.946...................12.197
1/4.........13.969...................14.247
MPH........113.19...................111.81

I know I need work on my 60' :squint: ...a lot of work. On my second pass, when I threw into 3rd, RPM dropped too low :(

Sup Manny... That car is moving. Good job on the mph. I don't blame you on the 60'... I've aways had problems with it. I'm even having problems with it now and I have a rear wheel drive V8  . Next time... you guys should try to come up on Wednesday. I went two days before you on wednesday and I got 5 runs in. And I sat out two rotations. Let me know next time you guys go so I can ride out.

Danny.

Wednesdays are hard for me to go because I work early mornings and go to school the rest of the day.
Dr. Dre even rode out with us.... 13.0 @ 104 in the Subi :biggthump

I could of had more than 2 runs...I had a run-in with the tech :squint:

We could have made 8 runs easy. I stopeed after 2 runs to give Manny my arm band. The tech guys failed Mannys car so I came up with a great solution to get him in on the action.

113 trap is good for only 12psi on that turbo. Now your 60 ft's...damn you need slicks bad.

what did they fail the car for?

what did they fail the car for?
...the reason they failed me is because I didn't feel like putting a hole thru my trunk so they can have an on & off switch for my trunk mounted battery.
That is the dumbest rule in the book...if my battery was in the front...I wouldn't need switch

Those mph are real good Manny. Keep up the work, you'll be in the 12's no time! Yeah, the whole battery kill switch is stupid. Although I will get one, for this very reason.

Hey Manford, wanna buy a nice small orange battery so you can keep it up front? BTW, you should check the rules before makin that long drive. Must have coolant overflow bottle, and kill switch for battery if in the trunk :D

Practice Practice Practice. You will get it man.

You may want to try what we did.. Mounted the kill switch behind the license plate (makes it almost flush with the tail lights. Remove it at the track put on for the drive home, it passes here..

I'm just going to run a kill switch behind my middle lights. I gut it out (since there is no real use for it) and when I hit the track I'll just take the lights out and VIOLA! I flick the middle finger at the tech next time :biggthump Or do what I did last time....get some white shoe polish :biggthump

This is the trunk closed, etc. Kinda hard to tell but it's a Moroso Kill Switch

http://twinkie.ucdavis.edu/walt/open.jpg
Trunk Open, we didn't care too much about aesthetics, since it isn't a road car much so we used heavy gauge stereo power wire. and just kinda left it there (we are going to anchor it down though.)

Side, you can kinda make out the license plate and how it sticks out. We just used long bolts and nuts to space it out, its usually flush with the rear lamps, but we were too tired to put it back all perfect after the track :) If you look at it from the rear it just looks like a regular license plate. Really saves a whole lot of hassle when it comes to track inspection.

Thanks alot for the pictures Luis. That was a great Idea. I think we just found the solution to our problem gang.

Manny, here is your solution, it only weighs in just over 13lbs. and you can still put it up front.

Less of a hassle, and slight weight reduction. :)

How are you launching the car? I get constant 2.2 2.3 60" on $30 195/60/15 tires by just reving the car 2500RPMS and slip the pedal slowly. Just like you would drive on the streets. That is how I got my 13.5@105 on a high elevation dragstrip.

He has a big t3 t4 so its kind of hard to find a sweet spot. Either you launch to hard and spin way to much or you launch to weak and bog out. Sort of sucks. With some big fat stickies the problem will be solved.
