Okay this has to be a common problem but I can't find it anywhere. This happened on my SE-R as well.
The problem is the fresh recirculate lever jams and if you force it something breaks? It broke on my SE-R before I sold it.It is sticking on my NX and I don't want to break it. Any one no how to fix it?

When the car is warmed up blow the front defroster. That makes sure the fresh air door isn't stuck. Other than that the only fix is to be careful or replace the switch. I had to do it already. It is not hard just remember where each cable connects to.

I have a similar problem with my temperature control lever. if i hold it to one side...(now being winter time, its always on the "hot" side)...it will stay on that end. but if for some reason i need to go to the other extreme ("cold") it will slide all teh way to the end and then slowly seep back about 2inches toward the middle.
in the summer, it will stay on the cold side, but if i need heat, it won't stay on the warm side....the lever will seep back toward the middle. i suspect just gooey or sticky cables...but it doesn't bother me too much. if i hold it long enough, i guess teh cable slides completely through its little sheath. :)
yay 400 posts!

Pretty White its not broken the defrost works but it is stiff. You mean you have to change the HVAC controls. Seems like it is a cable to a flap door that is sticking? Can't you just adjust or lube it .

I don't know. Mine just broke. The dealer changed one for me on my SE-R back in 93. My NX broke in 97. It is not hard to change. I don't see why lube wouldn't work. :)

The cable is jammed. But it can be fixed. You'll just have to take apart the passenger side of the dash to get at it.
IIRC, you'll need to remove the glove box, and a few other items inorder to get at the cable. After that, it's a pice of cake.

That is good news so pull the glove box and remove lower section of dash not upper dash right? Unjam and lube the cable and pivot points? What do you think lithium grease? Thanks I love the information available here.:D

Yeah, the lower part of the dash. There's a lot of little screws and what not, so you'll want to keep track of everything.
Lithium grease should work just fine.
