I have a 1993 gtir and a safc2 and just bought a q45 maf. My question is do I need to buy a chip or can I just use the safc? Also, I looked on jwt's web sight and couldn't find a chip or ecu for my car, do they even make them? Finally if anyone has maf and injector correction settings just as a ballpark it might be a good sticky or archive. thank you!

ive heard that the MAF needs to be in the ecu for it to run correctly, is this what your asking?

Just correct it with the SAFC u dont need a JWT ecu. If you have a GTi-R ecu then i believe u wanna set the HW to 1in 5out, if you have a DE or blue bird ecu then it will be 1in 6out.

Actually from my limited experience with an AFC there is a menu where you set up MAF in and out settings. You could have the in-signal (to the AFC) be the code for a Q45 and then the AFC will send out a signal as if it was reading from the GTIR MAF. I know some people on the board have done this to use 300zx MAFs with their set up. I seem to remember Charlie#### posting the different HW codes (6 total) but they are listed in the AFC manual.

With the added air you will need to bump the 444's up a bit and you should be well inside of the 50% correction value the AFC allows.

Yeah Q45 MAF is 1in and Z32 MAF is 2in. Depends on the ecu hes using if its gti-r he needs 5out if its de or blue bird its 6 out.
