I have J@E pistons for the SR20DET motor. They will cost you $630 shipped to your door. That includes pistons. rings and piston pins. The sizes you can get are 86mm, 86.5mm and 87mm. I do not have rods.

Thanks Andreas Miko.

It's really up to you what size you wanna use Richie. 86mm is stock (121 cu. in. or 2.0L). For the 86.5mm, you'll have to bore your block .5mm (or .020") which will give you a displacement of 123 cu. in. (or 2.02L). 87mm is a 1mm overbore (or .040") which will give you 124 (almost 125) cu. in. (or 2.04L). I'm not sure what compression Andreas has these at (too many variables to try to guess at it), but sizing is really up to you. The JEs are of very high quality too, btw. BTW Andreas, you might wanna change your title from Profit to Prophet; sorta gives the wrong idea the way it is now :D :p

Do you mind if I ask why you want pistons and rods? Because honestly, unless you're going over 400 wheel HP, you don't need them. There have been a good number of cases where people have done over 400 wheel HP on a completely stock *DE*, never mind a DET. I'd say don't spend the money unless you really need to.

All pistons are 8.5-1 compression. You will not need to get rods for your motor because SR20DET rods can take about 450 plus HP and SR20DE rods can take about 400 HP.

NSRACER thanks for showing me the spelling error.

So what you are saying that I just need pistions no rods right?

Right. If you don't plan on your car being a drag car, aftermarket pistons and stock rods should be fine.

No problem Andreas (hoping you didn't take offense because none was intended).

Well I am going change out the Rods. I dont want to go into the motor again. SO what kind of Rods should I get? Also Are the pistion forge? Also if I do get the Rods will I have a problem using the stock main and crack bearings? Also do i have to worrie about the space between the valves and the pistions? Just trying to do more resecch before i make my mind up.

JWT sells Crower rods. They also sell forged pistons.

If you buy JWT's pistons, you will have to have your block overbored, as their pistons are only sold in 87mm.

First of all, what are your HP goals? As mentioned before, if you don't plan on more than 400whp you don't need rods.

I guess my goals are 400+hp...... going to change my Rods while the motor is apart.
