do the kyb agx struts allow our cars more suspension travel. i really want the motivational struts but are a little costley. rite now my car rides like crap with cause i only have about 1/2 inch of suspensuin travel. if they do allow for more travel, then i'm gonna order them soon.

Allow for more? Or make more travel?? If you want more travel, you need a different spring.

the struts don't allow more travel, just more dampening. The AGXs are adjustable, so the rebound and damper can be changed to your liking. se-r.net has a nice, but long, write up on struts. of course, our cars (b14) need the motivational rear strut tower mount to give us more travel back there.

i have always wondered why KYB didnt manufacture them with shortened bodies. It wouldnt have been to tuff and would have made the AGXs unbeatable. It wasnt my call and i bet KYB didnt even know of or recognize the lowered enthusiast's needs.

Well, if you know about the KYB warranty crap, they really don't want people using them with lowering springs, as slammed cars bring about lots of shock warranty claims - shortened bodies would only encourage that use. They design them to be stock replacements, to stock external specs - don't expect anything other than that from a major manufacturer. Plus it really would have pissed off all the people who want to run in stock class motorsports events (SCCA, BMW club, etc) if the "stock replacement" AGX weren't legal in stock classes due to non-stock dimensions. Not that I wouldn't like shortened struts myself, but there are numerous reasons KYB wouldn't do that. I'm sure Mike Saiki is thankful for that too :)
