my buddy gave me his turbo, because he owed me some money. I took it to a shop and they said it just needs a rebuild. That's cool but i want to know what kind of turbo it is. It's a garrett, it's very small compared to the turbo found in merkurs. MY buddy has a t3/t04e in his honda civic and the t3 side is way way way way bigger then this turbo. My boy gave it to me and said it's a water cooled t3. And he said they don't have a lot of them, but it came off a saab. I told a couple other people to look at it and they said it's too small to be a t3. If it's a t3 i'ma use it i suppose. But it's got an internal wastegate, the a/r on the compressor side is .48 and the a/r on the exhaust side is well .48, and the tag in the middle of the turbo says,

I went to the garrett page but they sent me on a wild goose chase, i couldn't even email nobody to ask them what product of theirs i had. so oh well thanks alot guys. I would like to be able to use what i have instead of buying a bunch of turbo stuff, but if i can't use this turbo which i probably can't i'ma just do the t28.

what is a tb2569? i don't understand what that means. I'll just look up the car. i guess. it must be a old a$$ turbo. Is it worth using? can i use it on my sr20de, or should i just stop being cheap and buy a t28 lol.

thats a saab turbo from those 900 or 9000 saab year 89-90 something around there. $40.00 bucks at the junker, plenty around! Not really good for large power, unless you rebuild it! I think they are even smaller than the GTIR T28...

You are probably better off getting a t28.

It's a TB25 series turbo. They were an alternative design to the T25 used on similar applications. If I recall correctly there was some application specific benefit to the TB25.
