: Mexican Headlights
SE-R Newbie 12-31-2001, 07:00 AM Hey All,
I have done a search on the Mexican headlights for the classic Sentra and can not find a person or place to purchase the headlights. I have seen on a few threads that the headlights go for $450 dollars. Does anyone know who I can contact or business to order the headlights?
Thanks
SE-R Newbie
Shoes59 12-31-2001, 09:05 AM Talk to Greg Vogle at Mossy Nissan. The number is listed under dealerships on the se-r.net web site. Greg will sell you the whole kit for $350. Tell him I sent you.
random thoughts 12-31-2001, 11:59 AM I have seen the kit that greg v. has. It looks excelent and EVERYTHING is included.
SE-R Newbie 12-31-2001, 02:45 PM Hey All,
After rereading my post, I forgot to inform everyone that my car is a 1991 Sentra SE-R.
Shoes59, the kit you mentioned will fit my car? I know it is a dumb question but I will have someone else do the installation.
Thanks
SE-R Newbie
Pretty White 12-31-2001, 03:11 PM It is not a kit. It is an origional Nissan part. It is not aftermarket.
This is Brian Chang.

random thoughts 12-31-2001, 03:16 PM contact Greg Vogel <GregV@mossy.com> He has this in stock. These will fit 91-94 and are genuine nissan parts. What is being replaced is the headlights, grill, turn signals and some other stuff.
garys 01-03-2002, 11:16 PM Thought I'd post this again, it is a How-To Install for the (Mexican) Tsuru Crystal headlights. At the end of the how-to is a link to Mossy Nissan, where the conversion can be purchased.

sr20deMike 01-04-2002, 01:08 AM If the kit is purchased can I purchase just one headight when it cracks. I have a problem with cracking headlights and do not want to spend $350 again the first time I crack a headlight.
Thanks,
Mike
random thoughts 01-04-2002, 11:08 AM Yes, You should be able to get these parts just like any other stock part. They would need to come from Japan or Mexico though so shipping would take longer. Remember these are factory Nissan parts!

Do you have a price?
random thoughts 01-04-2002, 12:44 PM contact Greg Vogel <GregV@mossy.com> This is the man with the kit. Greg knows all, he is the parts manager for Mossy Nissan Oceanside in San Diego.
SE-R Newbie 01-09-2002, 07:10 PM Hey All,
As we speak, Jay Whitely has my car and going to install the Mexican Headlights. I have taken some pictures of the car before and will take some more pictures when the car is done. I will post the pictures on the forum.
I got the headlights from Pepe's Truck and Auto in Tampa (813-248-6948). I talked to Carlos Jr. who has a nice 93 Sentra SE-R. The whole kit cost $440. When I picked up the kit, Carlos Jr. had 3 left.

random thoughts 01-09-2002, 07:33 PM $440!!! If you read further up the postings you can see that Greg Vogel is selling the same parts for $350....
SE-R Newbie 01-09-2002, 07:39 PM I know there is a previous post that Greg Vogel could get the headlight kit for $350. I wanted to deal with someone local in case there is a problem with the headlights.
Call me crazy or dumb, but in this case I wanted to deal with someone local.

No offense but you asked for it. You're both crazy and dumb for thinking that buying it from Pepe's for $440 will offer any additional purchase security over a Nissan dealer that caters to the SR community. You just threw away $90.
NismoB13SE-R 01-16-2002, 06:09 PM More like $50 bucks...he picked it up, he didn't have to have them shipped. Mine cost like $45 to get shipped. And personally, I would have paid the extra $50 to make sure that I was getting everything and not have to wait the week for shipping...so stop flipping the guy crap.

So you're one of those who'll throw away money to be the first on the block with the new toy? I'm not flipping crap just stating fact. 50 bucks is 50 bucks.

Who's to say who's "throwing away $50?" To someone it may be more important to get it a week earlier, and pay the premium to make sure that you get it in hand, everything intact. I didn't have that option, but I sure as hell would have taken him up on it. Plus, the guy running "Pepe's Auto", he's running a business, and he worked his ass of to try and get that kit imported to him and get it available to us. I support him and his effort, just like I support Mike at Motivational and every other vendor trying to keep our aftermarket afloat.
If you want to keep your $50, don't buy it from Pepe's, but don't critisize others for their decision... Sorry, that just generally get's on my nerves, i'm really a nice person :) "Hi my name is Jake, what's yours?"
91ClassicSE-R 01-17-2002, 12:19 PM Can anyone post a pic of the tail lamps off this Tsuru? Are they different as well? The Mexico website did not seem to have a good clear shot of the tails.
I noticed the steering wheel looks nicer. I wonder if a new leather wrapped is available/and leather shift knob from this car to replace my worn ones with. I do not want after market, just original Nissan equipment.
I was wondering if there was anything else form this Tsuru that anyone else has installed?
NismoB13SE-R 01-18-2002, 02:54 PM Actually....Pepe's said they are working on bringing in the tailights as well...suppposedly they look cleaner..I've never seen a pic.
