hey, i just thought i'd throw out what i had conjured in my mind, probably all wrong, so please correct me. I've heard that for each point of compression, you gain like 3-4% hp. So is a pound of boost = point of compression?? if not, how much hp does each pound of boost gain? percentage or constant number? also, does boost matter from turbo to turbo or does say turbo #1 make the same hp at 8psi as turbo #2 would make at 8psi, on the same engine of course???

Different sized turbos produce differnt volumes at the same pressure. both turbos may be run at say 6 psi, turbo A making 205 hp and turbo B making 230 hp. Turbo B crams more air into the engine than turbo A at the same pressure level, thus making more power. I'm sure some other folks can better expound upon this.
