: Nology Power Core Install
KnightBird 04-08-2005, 02:55 PM Has anyone done this?? Does it actually help you burn cleaner and smooth out your power?? If you have, how would I connect it in? I can't seem to find how to hook it up to a 2000 SR20 RR.
Any assistance woudl be appreciated. And yes I searched..At least i didn't pay for it, it was a gift, but they got the right one for my car :-)
topdog781 09-19-2005, 04:23 AM whats up did any one install this in there car yet
liupj 09-19-2005, 04:27 AM I did. My butt says it settled down some jumpy idle issues when the car is cold. God knows.
Supposedly (se-r list) Kojima did some tests a long, long while back with some real dynographs. Supposedly smoothed out some things.
You have to splice it in at the little ignitorchip type deal that connects to the distributor (the small red capped wire connects to this chiptype deal). -- at least, I think its the coilchip or whatever you want to call it.
I'll get a pic of it later. Black goes to ground (obviously) and red goes to the green wire at the chiptype deal.
topdog781 09-19-2005, 04:32 AM Did you have to drill holes in the distributor cap to install this? how hard do you say to install this from a scale of 1-5, do you still have this in your car?

No. Where the heck did you get that idea.
1. If you can splice wires, you can do this (hell, you dont even need to splice wires).
Yes.
liupj 09-19-2005, 06:14 AM Ah.
You install it as if you're installing an aftermarket tach off the distributor. Green is power (goes to red on nology core) and black ground (black obviously).
KnightBird 09-19-2005, 08:05 AM WFT?? LOL I ask about this and it gets ignored, then MONTHS later, someone else asks in MY THREAD and gets answers! Thanks Guys!!!
liupj 09-19-2005, 01:14 PM We don't see every thread everyday.
KnightBird 09-20-2005, 08:10 AM LOL! I guess not.. But Thank you! I may install mine this weekend.
Audio Piper 09-20-2005, 11:27 AM Can you post pics? I should be getting one this week and want to attempt the install this weekend.
Audio Piper 09-30-2005, 09:48 AM I would like to see some pics to make sure I've got it right before I attempt the install. I'm thinking I need to splice into the 2 wire harness the plugs into the distributer with the positive going to red/black one and negative to the gren/black. Can anyone confirm this? Also where is a good place mount the PowerCore?
seRpwr 10-03-2005, 09:19 PM when i had mine i made a bracket and mounted to the upper driver side fire wall.

If you were such a good mechanic, you'd know how to install this and wouldn't be whining.
If I weren't lazy, I'd have pics up. :D
