after 3 altenators going bad, I bought a bigger 110 amp alt. from the 2001 se and checked for shorts in the systm. guess what it was...... THE BATTERY of all things had a bad cell inside and had a shorted plate. so got an 800 amp battery and it's been good so far according to the mdm100 also the snap on scanner shows no shorts in the whole car. Just wanted to let you guys know. I feel so dumb for not checking the battery sooner.:rolleyes:

a similar thing happened to me, after 7 alternators i found out my ground cable coming from the battery broke off of the engine so it wasnt grounded to the engine.

see what I mean even a little thing can cause such a headache. nice hat:)
