I am wondering what street tires you guys are running with your turboed cars. Anyone mind letting me know what turbo/tires package you have? I need to get tires for my B14 wheels and im putting it on a B13. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. thanks

whatever kind of tire you end of getting to put on your b14 wheels won't really matter. if you're running a turbo, you'll be smoking off the first 3 gears!! :-)
some good ones out there i could recommend:
--BFGoodrich g-force T/A KD 205/50/15
--Falken Azenis 195/55/15 or 205/50/15

those BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KD tires was actually one of my choices. I saw them in SCC magazine. But I'm not sure where I can buy them. Where can I get these tires or the Falken's?

check in sport compact car magazine. i think tire rack carries both brands. the bfg's are new in the 15 inch size, so they might have to be special oredered.

anyone ran 225/40-17s or 225/45-17s on their B14? i have Motivationals with the 3" spring, so i shouldnt have a little more room behind the wheel. goin turbo very soon, and judging by other people's rides, i am gonna need some more rubber on the ground!

Believe it or not... I think the Kuhmo tires are really good. I have those and they look nice and perform also. Im not turbo yet, but... Will be soon!

I have to agree on the Kumho's. I have had Toyo's and Nitto's. The Kumho's win Hands down in comparison. Mileage, wet handling, best bang for the buck!

Yes I have the Kumho's on the B12. I was in SOLM in Sept of 99. Mine was dark blue (almost black) with the ricey yellow interior. It is now Silver and much more subtle. Its amazing what time will do. I just went back and read the article and I have actually accomplished all of my goals with the exception of making the B13 SE-R bumper fit and putting in SE-R seats. I opted to go with the B12 sport coupe seats instead with Schrothe Rallye 3 harnesses. Anyway, yes that was me :D

Has anyone tried the Toyo Proxes RA-1 in 225/50ZR16? I've had my eyes on them for awhile, but I heard there just as bad the Nitto 450's (which I don't like).

Toyo Proxes RA-1s are R compound race tires! the NT450 sucks, i think just about any tire, including the BFG euro TA is a better tire. the proxes RA-1s kick ass, they just wont last for shit on the street, like 5,000-10,000 miles. The Toyo Proxes T-1S is another great tire, SCC pulled .98G outta these in their Miata.

i think im gonna go and get the kumhos. the other tires are so much more expensive compared to the kumhos. tire rack has them for 60 a piece (205/50/15). is that the cheapest or are there any other places that have them cheaper?
