Ahaha.. I just thought it was kind of funny since I don't have much money on hand. I'm just using my portable panasonic MP3 cd player for my car.. and it sounds great! :D But soon I'll be getting an Alpine head unit from my cousin for $70.. almost brand new! Stripped from a car from an auto auction.. *oops* :biggthump But I just thought it was something funny to share.. portable cd player with the factory tape player... :tongue:

this is what i want to do on a gutted car just for some tunes, get a piece of wood build 2 boxes for 6.5 powereed by an amp then have a disc man or a mp3 player as signal in for the amp and just have the wires sittin there to plug in but have switches up front to turn them on and off.

yeah... and good thing about the MP3 player is that it's ANTISKIP.. :biggthump

i used a tapedeck kit for my minidisk player in my car for the first few weeks after i got it, it was ok but the sound sucked. it still was good for some tunes!
