Are the HP racing coilovers on ebay any good? I want something to start out with since I've never lowered any of my cars or played with suspension setups - or am I better of saving for the good stuff? (no plans to auto-x street only)..
thanks
Don't hurt me

You get what you pay for. If you just want street suff, then get PKs and AGXs. That's the cheapest route, but still getting a good setup/products.

Gotta agree...you get what you pay for..but who knows what that is with HP coilovers...Do GC's and AGX's..or Eibachs and AGX's....

Well, what do you want to do? Lower your car for looks or make your car handle? If you just want looks, the cheapest way would be prokits and AGX's. There's still that slightly larger wheel gap in the front though than the rears with the prokits.
If you want to handle, the cheapest way is Ground Controls and AGXs and do not lower the car more than 1" or you'll be bouncing off the bumpstops more than you'd like.

BTW: Does anyone have a good source of GCs, cause those mofos are expensive. And how is the ride? Ive heard its rough and Ive heard its really smooth. Which is it?

Dont forget H&R's they are stiffer than either eibach spring (not ers's) and dont lower you an insane amount. They keep me offa my bumpstops most of the time.
Agx's rule dude theres really no other low buck shock to consider.

I would have to agree H&R makes a really good spring. I have put a few sets on imprezas and they are nice...

The H&R's also lower the rear 1" less than the front too right? I neeeeeeed to get rid of these piece of crap coilovers. Every road is torn up around here for construction and also because we have to have the worst street dept. in the US. So the H&R/ AGX combo would be comparable to the prokit/agx?

Hey nismo200 the ride on groundcontrols just depends on the spring rate you request and how far you lower it...

What about the good ol' 350(front) and 300(rear), which I heard is bad-ass... Help me out!

H&r are stiffer than prokit, but if you got bad streets an expensive setup is your only real answer. Here in NY I barely get by on what I have. At least in q and bk. I wont even set one tire on Manhattan ever again with this setup. Agx's are even better than stock for comfort on the soft settings even though they are slightly higher damped.
