Forgive the somewhat misplaced topic. You SE-R Cup guys have more experience with the Toyos than the autocrossers.
Are Toyo RA-1s reasonable for use as a street tire on a car that I drive about 50 miles a week? Would I be able to get roughly 6 months of use, plus a track day or two and random autocrosses out of them?
The car would be driven only in town except for trips to events.

They suck in the rain, otherwise you'll be the local hero.

at 50 miles a week, they should last about 8-10 months. they usally last about 5000 or so miles on SE-Rs.
with a couple of track events, they should be right about 6-8 months.
don't replace them until they cord, they lose the tread pattern pretty quickly.

How quickly does the tread go away? I've got lots of experience autocrossing on Kumhos (victos and ecsta v700s), I'm hoping the Toyos last longer than that.
They're sounding like a viable tire though for my needs.

I have had some for street use for awhile now, the front ones are worn down to the cord and the rear almost have no tread left. I dont remember how much ive had them cause theyve been used off and on. Just becareful in the rain, I was spinning tires on the freeway in 5th NA.
