To the Pros:


Recently my car has been making weird noises decelling, going in reverse, and even starting up from 0, I first thought it was the exhaust but I took it to a mechanic and he told me it was the motor mounts.

THERE SHOT.

I've heard alot about Prothane motor mounts and how there very good compared to the stock rubber motor mounts.

The QUESTIONS:

Will these solve the problem of my engine rattling and the noise?
Are the stock mounts being taken out of the car?
Whats the difference between these and stock mounts?
Where can i get them ONLINE for a reasonable price?

If the mechanic said it was the motor mounts, and you trust him then

1. yes it will solve ratlling
2. yes the mounts are taken out of the car, the prothanes are pressed in.
3. you will notice more vibration under 1500rpms , I feel above that its less vibration.
4. Lightning motorsports - there may or may not be a group buy going on right now at this very forum.


5. I F@#@$ LOVE THESE MOUNTS- no wheel hop, no movement of the engine under any circumstances whatsoever.

The stock mounts are weak , and expensive - do yourself a favor and press these in. ;)

another jersey head...what poppin' get these from ultrarev.com,if u want to call them or order online its fine..speak to my boy ray..their in n.y. and their service is great..get these and swing by my shop and ill pop them on for u..takes 3 hrs and alot of wd-40..search button is ur friend..theirs also a gb going on now for them..on the pass. side its pressed so the stock one is removed..all other its and insert into the stocky mount..get them and deal with some vib..it eliminates wheel hop,movement in the bay, and that annoying rattle in reverse..personal exp. from me is that they work..it will save ur tranny in the long run..just raise ur idle to 1k flat and ur o.k.

Yeah if I know it Ill just answer it. Im used to other forums where people discuss things much more openly. Maybe its annoying for some people to say things again, but thats how forums make progress - even little bits. The same topics get exposure , new people keep adding to them. If we all just flame each other, were shutting as much knowledge out as we care not to retype.
