i spoke to ben yesterday, he said there still waiting on some stuff and that once they get them testing will begin. he said hopefully the end of the summer for the cams.

Id love that to be true. Do a search and you can find threads going back to 2003 - always saying theyre about to come out.

i hear you, its either jwt cams and springs or n1 16ve cams and springs.

Does no one in Japan/Europe make cams?

Yes, Nissan Japan make SR16VE & SR16VE N1 cams and that's about it!....JWT would be the only ones aftermarket if/when these happen (that's a pretty good market!)

exactly.......last time i called, a few weeks ago, they said they were "still waiting for the cam billets to come in. testing will take place this summer and they "should" be ready by late summer, early fall (at best)."

I heard that tomei could do regrinds on the standard cam. Not ideal though.

i wouldn't mind a reginded N1 cams, but i'm pretty sure the N1 cams have biggers lobes to begin with so grinding down will only decrease the lift/duration....correct?

they weld on top of the lobes, then grind them down.

they have the blanks now and will be testing them shortly.
