What does everyone do, as far as preventative maintenance, to keep bugs from accumulating on their front bumpers? It's really annoying when you have to resort to using rubbing compound to get them off, no joke. :eek2:

work at a car wash company and wash your car every day like i do. BTW wd-40 works well for me after you are done wd-40'ing the spots hit them good w/ water cause it could mess up the paint

I only drive backwards.. in reverse... Fullproof way to avoid bugs in the front... :)

Seriously though, religious cleaning ewver week or so seems to be the only way to get them off the car...

WD40 works well. i use the "bug" side of my wash sponge with simple green, that seems to remove it quite well.

Pam cooking spray is what I use on very long road trips only. Keeping the car waxed will aid in keeping the bugs off, or at least easier to remove.

just try not to drive during the night will help alot

those bug sponges are awesome. at work we spray down the area with glasscleaner (not like windex or that crap) then hit it with the bug sponge.

When we got our G35, it was a concern, but we had the dealership install a clear bra on the front of the car. It was something like 300$ but it works well, and you can barely notice it, I can post up some pics if you want to see how it looks.

I met the president of this company at sema a few years ago. This is some great stuff. Im positive is similar if not the same product that NISMObuttnutz is talking about.
If I had a new car I would suck it up and get it done. Its a little pricey, but then again in 10 years so will a new paint job.

there is this new typr of wax I heard of, it contain teflone in it, but I cant remember the name of the product.

I have Meguirers Tech Wax, best $15 I've spent so far. It still doesn't work for bugs.

I've always wanted to try the clear bra a year ago....... but this is the quote i got from the company

Wal-mart has some shit called bug off its in a windex type spray bottle and its neon green. I have been using it for years and I wouldnt give it up. Spray it on let it sit for a minute and wipe that nasty bug juice off. As for the clear bra thing I might be thinking of something different but its just a crystal clear sheet of flexible yet tough sticky plastic. It is kind of a pain to install like worse than window tint but with some patience it will turn out good and saves the paint from bugs, rocks, birds :P, and uv rays. I installed it for a company a couple years ago. It is quite pricey but its worth it. I believe for a 4x6 foot sheet it was like $200. Hope that helps your bug problem.

I believe you guys are all talking about a product called LAMIN-X.....if so, this stuff is the way to go. They also make colored sheets that I used to "french" the fog lamps on my WRX. Look em up,....I also don't remember it being that pricy.
