: loweing muah 96 SE-R
i've asked before, but i can't find reference on what you guys had told me. I want to do the typical thing and drop muah se-r on some 17s , what all do i need to have to lower it? Could i use just coilovers? info needed soon.... thanks guys.. :p
if anyone wants to get ahold of me, im me @ Im a sandwich
2wdBlazer 01-11-2002, 09:35 AM I hate the lowered ride when it comes to bumps in the road. Handling is awesome though. I'll be selling my Sportlines very soon & going back to a stock height.

WTF is muah?
Chris
sorry, i dont know where i picked up that crap though, muah = my.
stankser 01-11-2002, 07:19 PM Well depends on if you care how bad the ride is gonna be...If you wanna be cheap just buy some cheap springs or coilovers and your car will look nice but ride like crap..
if you wanna do it right buy a good set of springs(h&R,eibach etc.) or coilovers(ground control) and some agx or tokico shocks.....Oh yeah dont forget the alignment and camber kit...
by the way anyone ever tried the weapon-r coilovers???
martin_g34 01-14-2002, 12:52 AM For all around comfort and performance go with the Motivational coil-overs. They are about $1600 but I think they are very well worth it, and I don't think anyone can say anything negative about them except for the price. But just remember that you do get what you pay for, so invest wisely.

Black200sxSER 01-14-2002, 11:43 AM They're the same as Ground Controls. Have a friend that works for Weapon R & they come from the same source. They just change a few things around.
!!!!! bwah h aha h aah Ha!!!!! no, they are not just like the GC's..ask him what spring rate they use on the W R's..?
He will not know, because they do not know...they are cheaply made coil overs.
skrible66 01-14-2002, 06:55 PM coilovers sucks a$$ unless u get a whole set up like motivational ... if u want to b low and are on a lil bit of a budet then get sprint 2" drop springs there like 120$ at nopi.com... if u can then get kyb struts and shocks or tokico... and u will b good to go! nice ride very nice handling!
Black200sxSER 01-14-2002, 07:18 PM I have been in a B14 with Sprints and Tokicos...that sucked ASS....I have also been in a GC/AGX equipped B14 lowered the same amount and it rode WAAAAAY better than the other car with Sprints did. The "Best" set up is a shortened strut set up like the Motivational...but to say coilvers suck ass.....?? And then recommend 2 in drop springs...?? Whatever bro...
Benito Malito 01-15-2002, 10:53 AM even sportlines, and agx's are supposed to be unbearable. gc's gotta improve it a lot compared to that.
skrible66 01-15-2002, 04:49 PM okok in my opinion "bro" ground control is way to bouncy, weapon r is the same...and there not worth the money! arospeed =) ha there the biggest joke of all! obx they r same as gc or wr... the only 1 worth getting is motivational!!!! or just a nice set of springs... mine ride just fine and handling is excellent and **** is welcome to take a ride if they want...

Thats why you can get the springs in different lb. settings!!!!!!!!!
WhiteSER 01-15-2002, 05:59 PM HAHAH.. Best thread EVAR! GC/AGX is the best option next to a full coilover suspension. I had springs that lowered my car probably more than 2 inches and it sucked ass. If you just want to look "cool" just go ahead and get those nice 2"+ drop springs or those oh so good weapon r coilovers.
skrible66 01-15-2002, 08:53 PM ok just save ur money and get the motivational!
i got some good help from eric with what to get, but i really dont feel like spending $6,000 on lowering it, hell i owe $5,250 or so left on it, but i want my car like this, lowered, just differnet rims...

i dont want the thing dumped either, i want normal drop which is like 1.5 or 1.7, i'm thinking 2 inch is too low, specially with 17s..
