Honestly if you get the AEM for $215 like everyone else is getting them for then the AEM is a better bargain.

I would do a CAI set up if I was you. The POP charger pulls in hot air when the engine gets warm.
Iv'e got a Place Racing CAI and I love it.
If I was to buy a CAI today, I would got with AEM.

lmao are you lf'ing kidding? You could waste the loot on jwt or even $tillen pop. Or pay the same for a used pr or hs randomly when they are sold on the forum.
Or spring for the ultimate aem, and maybe $60-70 more and know where your money went. AmI right?
incidentally I may have a jwt pop foe sale if your budget is ina compromised situation. :)

Hehehe, now that that was funny Bennitto. Well the reason I ask it because I have heard from some people (really smart people when it comes to the Se-r) that the POP charger performs the best over all of the other intakes systems. Now they also haven't tried the Classic with an AEM from my understanding. I do know that they tried it out against a HS CAI and the POP performed better. I just wanted opinions. If you have a POP charger for sale for the Classic then I am interested in it.

yeah i originally went with the pr, that has the pop, but it never cme. Thanks Titan Motorsports! From what I understand the hs and pr are both good. Though the hs may have better build quality, and fit. For me it came down to which one was available used first.

Where the hell did you see that the POP charger perfroms better than a HS CAI???? No way in hell. I have had both on my car and it definately pulls harder with a CAI.

I was told this from someone who dynoed those air intakes.

so this statement from the master (Mr. Kojima) on se-r.net is false then?

I have extensively tested the CAI and the POP on the dyno and have found that CAI produces more power than the POP alone from 3500 rpm to the fuel cut. The gains were 8 hp@5500 rpm and 3 hp at the power peak. Past the power peak the CAI continued to produce more power. The POP was good for about 2-3 hp over stock on a mildly modified motor.

dude, i'd love to see a dyno of identical rides (except for the intake) that prove the POP makes more hp than a CAI.

You know so would I in a way. I just noticed that you lived in Va. Beach. We should get together sometime and go cruising the strip or something. I was really thinking of doing the AEM CAI for now and maybe putting a POP charger on later when I have $150 to blow on nothing else.

No need to. The newer AEM filter is huge. It has a built in airhorn.
I liked the origional AEM filter. It was a big as a POP. But with a 3" outlet for the CAi. The Place you needed a POP adapter.

Well, one thing to remember is that the WAI, like the JWT and Stillen perform on almost the same level as the CAI's once you're up to some type of speed. The only real differences are when the car isn't moving any faster than 20mph or something around there.

I bet you heard the WAI performs better than the CAI from people that have NX's. This has been proven due to the poor air flow enabled by the NX air damn.
