hey everyone i got a question... i currently have a 92 NX1600 and i was lookin at a 91 NX2000. i wanted to know what u guys thought of the idea. the 91 NX2000 has 91k miles on it. so that was the main thing that is making me think twice about it. my current car (NX1600) has only 86k on it. should i go for the NX2000? and if so the dealership is asking 3995 what would a good price to pay for it be? OR should i just buy a SR20DE and put it in my 1600? thanks for your help!!!

well, i bought my NX2000 w/ 169k on her for $4800, *** she was clean, and i love the SR20. :D
After driving one, I don't really think that a high-mileage SR20 will be too problematic, as long as it's had the proper maintenance done to it. I've put 14 thousand miles on my NX since july, and it still runs good at 183,050. So, yeah, that's what i'm sayin..Is it clean? will they allow you to trade in your 1600? if so, i say do it, you'll love the difference in power between the 1.6 and 2.0. buy it, love it, take good care of it, and hopefully, it will take good care of you.

I'd buy it for sure, if it seems to be in good shape. That rust above the mirrors on the A-pillar, that's normal, on every NX I've ever seen, so that is not an indication of how it has been taken care of. Although that may help you reduce the seller's price. I took mine for a test drive then bitched about "the brakes squeak, the motor was making a funny noise, and I don't like the look of that rust one bit!!!"
managed to reduce the price by a grand. For that I got the A pillar fixed and had the front end painted, no more stone chips!

Definitally go with the NX2000 . The difference in power is really noticable. That and if you wanted to buy upgrades in the future it is much easier to get upgrades for the SR20DE.:D

it is a good price, buti'll would try to bargin with them. anything off is a bounus so why not try. millage is not too important. i got 350,000 km on my nx and it just started to burn oil. good luck on what ever you decide to do.
