when you get a det, do you have to get a cobra maf, or will the det maf come with the engine and work fine? also, what about a bigger fuel pump, will it be needed when swapping in a det?

Most DET's do not come with MAF's. You can use your stock maf for up to 10-12 psi, and your stock pump also.
although, if you want to be safe, you SHOULD replace the fuel pump.. because when you are going to do a motor swap it is just a bit more cash for alot more security.
You have to decide what your goals are though, about the maf.
If you upgrade the MAF you should upgrade the injectors, and if you do upgrade the injectors you have to upgrade the fuel pump..
maf (220?) injectors (300?) pump (200?)
new motor= lots more.
Your call!

No problem :)
Just make sure to ask if you have any doubts, no good in doing more than one retune if it is not necessary.

Good start, I have never replaced the bearings in an engine when I did a swap, some would curse me but I could not justify it, and in having said so, knock on wood, I hope I never regret not changing them.
If you can find a shop that will let you take in a half torn apart motor and they will replace bearings, YAY... but, knowing that you are doing this on a budget (as per your other post) yea... I have never had a problem... some have, it is your choice there.
Downpipe, you will need, unless you plan on running open turbo, which! sounds awesome, but is loud enough to get unwanted attention and tickets, also. Can be made cheap local or you can buy one from a shop (sr20development sells one, for instance)
Your list is good, get everything you listed and it is your choice on the bearings. might want to check out tranny switches if yours are leaking, remember to get your flywheel resurfaced and to get yourself a new clutch (whole different can of worms, search se-r.net and this forum and find which one you want)
Might as well replace the fuel filter, and spend 10 bucks on steering rack ES inserts as it will be a VERY easy job once the motor is out. same with motor mount inserts and shit bushing, little things like that add up, though.

Have some money (300 ish) set aside when you goto do the swap, no matter how much you prepare for a swap there will always be last minute expenses (ie, break something in the process)

Don't forget to trim the oil pan for clearence with the crossmember.

hmm, so... for the downpipe, i will need it 2.5 inches?? can i just do 2.5inch downpipe/cat, and then goto 3 inches the rest of the way, or is that not doable?
