do you guys know what kind of cars JDM have the same suspension as our nx, I was wondering if they are the same maybe I could check into getting a suspension setup from hks, tein, cusco, someone who make a good setup, for that car, and put it on mine. has anyone done this???

Here's my .02 cents:
If you're on a budget,
Go with the KYB-AGXs with the Ground Control adjustable sleeves. That set up will allow you to adjust your ride hieght and be adjustable for both rebound and compression.

If you've got a little more disposable income,
Go with the MOTIVATIONAL ENGINEERING (www.motivational.net) coil-overs. These feature a shortened and threaded strut body using Koni inserts.

And if you're a track addict,
Then go with True Choice.

I've searched hi and low for a good JDM suspension for the NX and so far I've found nothing :(

Why go JDM when we have an excellent selection of suspension items in the US?

I mean like a tein N1 dampener setup, for maybe a nissan sunny the same chassis code, B13 maybe something like this would work?? and there only 1,300

It would be the price difference. Anything better than a GC/AGX combo with external adjustability costs way too much coin.

Actually the Hotibits suspension is susposed to be pretty cheap as I called in for the prices. Ive seen them on WRX but never ridden in them. It not a shortened strut either but they make a coilover suspension for about $950 for street race and 1200 for rally. I plan on getting it if the Hyperco spring deal falls through as i need shocks as well.

could you post a link/ more info on the set up......

I also know DMS has a set up for our car that is pretty nice pricing is about 1500-2400 either use shortened, adjustable struts and huge diameter struts. They are designed for rally/tarmac as well as road race and autoX...... but they do make a street set up

http://www.sr20deforum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=11038&highlight=hotbits...everything you need should be there and they have the application listing as B13 and B14 so there shoudnt be a problem.

Name a suspension set up that's cheaper than a GC/AGX combo that is "cheaper" but works as good or better?

And why is it that it seems everyone want's cheap parts that work as good as the quality parts? You get what you pay for!

You want cheap parts, go get a honduh.

THe setup you speak about breaks down to this...
AGX's $389 GC's $369 maybe new boots or bumpstops and ect that adds up to say $800. Then you have to deal with duct tape, silicone , modifying the strut and no more warranty. While the hyperco deal gives you factory like springs for about $200 if it goes through but cuts the cost to say about $650 w/ AGX and say koni bumpstops and what not. Hotbits does wholesale and can be had at a good price. It is also 15ways adjustable ?and custom valved in house to your likings. With less headaches and a price of say $900? Than that is something to look at as well.

Ok, so does Hotbits have a set up specificly for the B13? And if so, how much after everything is said and done?

Anybody install one yet?

Look, the AGX/GC set up is pretty good deal for street/strip set up. Now maybe Hotbits will produce a suspension set up for our cars. If they do, and it's as good as you say it is. Then we'll have another choice.
Now if you get a Hotbits setup for your car, how about a write up and pictures? As well as a cost break down.

just a question, but arent our suspensions "basically" about the same as the se-r sentra. hks makes some for the se-r i think. or maybe its the 240? i dont remember, ive been looking up alot of 240 stuff for my friend. ive turned him to the big red O in NISMO. lol. he wants rwd so he wants the 240. he found a kick ass s14( thats 95-98 if you people dont know) for only 6000. hes gonna try to get it. yipee!! i should be a sales consultant for nissan, i can turn anybody. by the way he was a dedicated rotor head. im pretty sure he was related to the awsome D. Felix Wankle. ( the guy who created the rotary!!) oh, guys dont get mad, but my other love is rotarys, and ill have to have one of those to. i love that sound of em. waaapaaaapaaaaaaapaaapapapapapaapapppa!!:D while our sr20s sound like a 4 cylinder from hell with a attitude.:D :) :D :)

Its specifically for the B13. Im debating on getting this or the AGX/hyperco spring deal. I would love to try it out but for $900+ i can get the agx/hyperco and use the money i save for a Koyo radiator or paint so i can redo my car. If all esle fails *** it should be on my car, money isnt the problem, its just I know it works well on the Wrx not sure on the Se-r. Or i can opt for the street setup but that loses out on the tender spring but still drops the price.

Yes. '91 - '93 NX2K and same year SE-Rs have the same suspension components.
Although I have been told that the NX2K OE struts are shorter than the OE SE-R struts.

hks makes some for the se-r i think.
If they do, it won't be cheap.
