now when i did my swap, i noticed that the ka block was just as heavy as the SR with its transmition on. does anyone know about how much lighter the SR is compared to the KA? i thought my suspension was needing some re-settleing after being jacked up for a while, but it hit me that the KA was heavier and now there is alot less weight in the front. my car looks like its always squating now lol.

Most people will never reach the ability to drive hard enough to where they will need/notice the 1% weight difference that the SR will make.

This has been discussed over and over on various forums with no definitive answer. If the engines are so close in weight, why does the car sit so much higher in the front after swapping in an SR?

someone just needs to weight both motors, no oil, with AC, and trannies. If I recall correctly, they are within 100 pounds of each other, or something close.

1% weight balance difference.
SR = 50/50
KA = 51/49
So what I meant was that almost everyone who reads this will not be able to tell, or, ever know how to drive good enough to where that 1% weight balance difference will matter.
IIRC, SR's weigh 473 lbs with all accessories (exluding AC) with the tranny attached.
Not sure about the KA.
