So I finally got my NX seat rails and installed them today. Below are pictures of both the NX rails (the ones that sit lower) and the original sentra rails. They are a complete fit, and the only two gotchas are that the NX rails I had did not have a welded on nut (missing in bottom left), so I had to go buy a couple, and the little plastic pieces that cover the rear floor mounting bolts no longer fit (the NX plastic covers should fit, I didn't get them).

I also measured the difference in height, and the NX rails are an even 3/4" drop. There is no change in forward-backward adjustability.

For me, being nearly 6'6", this was a very nice change. I can now sit more upright in the car. :)

(oh, if you do this, make sure to locktite all the bolts. :)

The NX rail is the lower one, it also has a slightly smaller lever.

Its easy to see how much lower they are.

The missing welded on nut from the NX rail.

Where did you get these rails from?

Dang maybe i should have kept up with this. being 6'5" i have that trouble as well. Atleast i dont have a sun roof and it really makes a difference. But i would like to sit a bit lower in the car. Yea let us know where you got these and their price. I guess the $tealer has them, i would just hate to see the cost. I want to try it sometime ***.

Being a freak of nature sized sucks alot of the time.

I got my entire front set (both seats) for $60 from a U-Pull-It type junk yard. You might be able to find them cheaper (or maybe not as cheap) - it depends on the junkyard I guess.

hmmm thats an idea...now finding a junkyard that has NX in it and will let you canabalize the seats...thats the hard part. Most places wont let you touch the seats unless they are just trash. Luckly nx with ttops have probaly sit in the rain and the seats are trashed

Thats how I got mine, thankfully they weren't rusting at all - must have been all that grease on them.

I don't see any reason they should be different, its the exact same body. But wierder things have happened, might want to try the NX2K area on this forum.

Would you be interested in getting rid of your stock SE-R rails? I am lookinf for some to try and adapt to my Sparco seats.......... I have been waiting on Sparco brackets since March of this year.

Whiile we're at it, is there any way to switch the passenger and driver seat? If I am ever in the car not driving (a rare event), I am amazed at the support of the passenger seat. Who cares if the lever needs to switch sides.

I'd rather not get rid of them yet.

I have switched the bottom cushions before. Also, the side bolsters on the bottom of the seat are foam that slips over a metal support, so there is foam on each side of the metal. Obviously the foam under the metal isn't doing anything for you. If you pull it up and put both sides of the foam closer to the driver it is more supportive. Does that explanation make sense?

I don't remember, but you might be able to swap just the foam parts, leaving all the hardware (including the reclining mechanism), without much problem

You'd probably have to pull it out to find out for sure.

Are you sure I couldn't talk you into it? I would really love to get these seats mounted.
